My Paradise

I got back from Hawaii a few months ago. It was the most perfect trip I've ever been on. I really didn't want to come home but I did miss that wonderful fluff ball of mine. My mom told me that every night, around the time that he and I go to bed, he would go sit my my bedroom door and cry. So I couldn't just leave him alone so I came home form my paradise.

I went and stayed with my really good friend Tiffany {who is like a big sister} and her husband Justin. They are my guardian angles on earth. They treated me so well and they showed me how to have fun and let loose and be stress free. We spent 8 days on the beach just relaxing and playing in the ocean. I enjoyed every second of it. You can do so much by doing nothing.

I got to learn to surf in Hawaii which was the number one thing on my bucket list. It was such an amazing thing to be able to cross that off. I couldn't be more grateful for Tiffany setting that up for me. Everything that happened that day still plays crystal clear in my head. It is a memory i will cherish and hold very close to my heart for the rest of my life.

While I was there I tried new things like Poke {POKAY} which is little cubs of fresh raw fish with different spices and sea salt. I was surprised that I actually liked it. The texture was really weird but overall I would definitely eat it again. I don't know if I would eat it here in Utah because it wouldn't be fresh but when I go back to Oahu I will go bake and have some Poke.

Our days were filled with floating and swimming in the ocean and our nights were filled with sunset cruises, luaus, and games that lead to lots of laughter. One night we were treated to a University of Hawaii game with field passes. It was amazing. We also went to see where they filmed Forgetting Sarah Marshal, Blue Crush, and North Shore. It was really cool to see those places in person. Now when I watch those movies again I can look at my friends and say that I have been there. It's a pretty neat feeling.

I can't wait to go back to Oahu and visit the North Shore, Lanikai, Turtle Bay, Diamond Head, Pipe, and all of those beautiful places again. Everyday pictures of those places fill my thoughts and motivate me. When I fell flustered of mad I think of the first time I surfed, or sitting on my friends dock looking at the full moon, or watching people surf huge waves, or Daisey {friends dog}chasing after her floppy disk, or Tiffany, Justin, and I sitting at the dinner table talking and laughing. These images sooth and calm me. I love Oahu, its my paradise, my special happy place. It will always hold a place in my heart.
