Untitled from April 2015

So it's been awhile since I've written anything down for the world to see. Thankfully most of the reasons why is because I've actually felt pretty well for once in the past five years. I am back and hopefully I'll be a little bit better at posting.  A lot has happened since I last posted, like a ton! I'm just going to get right into updating you guys on to how I am doing.

Since my last post things have gone pretty smoothly for me. We have found an amazing Dr. who has found an amazing treatment of symptoms for me. He has tweak my meds and has me drinking four liters of pedialyte every day. Yes, you read that correctly, FOUR LITERS!! I didn't think it was humanly possible for a girl my size to hold that much fluid. Thankfully I can, and I do. "Why pedialyte?", one might ask. Well, pedialyte has the highest electrolyte continent than any other sports drink has. It's so surprising what a little thing like drinking a few liters of an electrolyte rich drink can do for the body. It's helped my headaches and keeps me going through the work day.

I have switched jobs since my trip to Hawaii. I don't remember if I have ever mentioned my old job but it is such a blessing that I was able to get out of that business. I was a sales associate for a local company here in Utah, called Dubs Scrubs. For the first few months the job was great but as soon as I started having episodes or flair ups from my POTS one of the managers, whose identity I'll keep to myself, so lets call her Ursala {the evil sea witch from The Little Mermaid}, began to treat me differently than the other girls that I was working with at the time. She gave me a hard time about certain things and at one point threatened to have me fired. While all of this was going on I was on the hunt for a new job because the stress of having to work for Ursala was making me physically ill, literally.

A good family friend of mine had messaged me about three days after Ursala had threatened to have me fired  to have me come in to his office for an interview. I didn't hesitate a millisecond to respond yes. I went in for the interview and immediately received an offer and took the opportunity. When I called to turn in my resignation to the owner of the company I was told not to even bother coming in to finish either of my shifts and to return my key and pick up my last check the next day. My father went in for me because I didn't want to deal with Ursala and the possible harassment that I would receive because of my resignation. When my dad entered the store she threw, yes THREW, my final paycheck at him. It was a terrible place for me to work and I am very blessed to have gotten out of there when I did.

I am now working at the Huntsman corporate office in Salt Lake City. I am a temp so I do anything and everything that I am able to do. They are so very understanding of my illness and the fact that on occasion i am going to be a tad bit flaky because I don't feel well. My co-workers are extremely sweet and some have even offered to bring me dinners when I am feeling extremely ill to help out my family. I know that I have a family at my job over at Huntsman and I am very blessed and grateful for that. It's so nice to be able to have a safe and happy place to work, and have co-workers and superiors be understanding and kind about my illness.
